講述吉米原在警局負責(zé)炸彈拆穿的工作。因為工作過于危險，他辭去工作改為任教于警察學(xué)校。然而沒過多久接任他工作的同事卻因炸彈爆炸而身亡。他懷疑這個炸彈乃是他熟悉的人所安裝。當(dāng)他深入調(diào)查之后發(fā)現(xiàn)，他過去在愛爾蘭共和軍的老師兼伙伴，當(dāng)年因為他的告密而入獄，現(xiàn)在要來向他報仇了…… 影片由湯米·李·瓊斯（《亡命天涯》）、福里斯特·惠特克（《末代獨裁》）等諸多好萊塢明星助陣?！ 读泓c爆破》片在處理爆破場面有兩場最為吸引，爆車、爆船，也可謂達到大爆炸的感官刺激。確實，一班幕后精英確實花了不少心思設(shè)計，這點從影片不斷營造氣氛方面可以肯定。劇中刺激過癮的地方，相信是爆炸前一刻的情節(jié)處理，插電話接駁線、開煤氣爐等生活小節(jié)也在企圖制造一種危機感，好讓觀眾透不過氣。在人物性格與鋪排正邪斗法方面，《零點爆破》也下了不少工夫，務(wù)求故事說來合情合理，且講述了一段不光彩的往事，令劇情走向多元化，對于一部刺激動作電影來說，盡管用上公式化的商業(yè)元素，但也強調(diào)了動作戲的基本要求。
